Talking about Title IX in Minneapolis-St. Paul

Mary Jo Kane

I’m on my way to the Twin Cities, where I’ll be talking about 37 Words and Title IX in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Join me for a free event open to all at SubText Books in St. Paul on Friday, November 11 at 7 p.m. I’m especially pleased that I’ll be in conversation with Title IX expert Mary Jo Kane, professor emerita in sport sociology and former director of the Tucker Center at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. It’s sure to be a fascinating hour!

If you’re planning to attend the National Women’s Studies Association meeting in Minneapolis this weekend, look for me in three sessions on Saturday, November 12. Join me first at a 9:30 a.m. panel on “Women’s Politics: Finding a Way Out of No Way,” and then at a Feminist Author Showcase at 1:15 p.m. Central Time. At 3 p.m. I’ll be signing books in the Exhibit Hall at the Feminist Book Club booth. Attendees must register for the conference, which you can do here.

For more upcoming appearances, see “Where you’ll find me,” below. Next stop: Atlanta!

The National Women’s Law Center launched a digital series called Know Your Rights, Know Your Power to help students (and those who want to support them) understand the barriers to a safe and inclusive education, and what they can do about them.
